I found this on a forum and thought it might be interesting to share. Although it`s source is a bit awkward, it`s still an interesting point of view:
The human mind has two main functions: a thinker and a prover. What ever the thinker thinks, the prover proves that thought to be true. If a person thinks they are stupid, their prover will prove that to be true. If they think they are clever, the prover will prove that to be true. Over time, the circumstances of your life come into line whatever you‘ve been thinking. Amazing but true! Your life conditions are the result of what you‘ve been thinking and feeling over time. Why not ask yourself what thoughts and feelings you‘d like to have?
